Today, on this 2014 GMC Terrain, we're going to be test fitting the 20x60 Curt Cargo Carrier, Part Number C18150. This has a 500 pound carrying capacity, and it has a mesh floor which makes it easy to clean. Around the borders of the cargo carrier we have this rail which can actually serve as a tie down point for either your ratchet straps, or your bungee cords. I'm going to go ahead and give you some measurements. The first one being, how much distance is added to the vehicle once the cargo carrier is installed I'm going to go ahead and measure from the bumper, since that's the furthest point out. To this rail here, that's 28 1/4 inches. For our ground clearance to this point here, that's about 15 1/2 inches. more

It's designed to work with 2 inch hitches and has a weight capacity of 500 pounds. The first thing we're going to do here is take a few measurements. Ground clearance being first, we're going to have about 17 1/4 inches. Overall to our vehicle, we're adding about 32 3/4 inches. Our closest point measurement is going to be about 11 1/2 inches away. As for Acadia, we have dual exhausts, and 2 exhausts per side, and those sit about 17 1/2 inches away from your vehicle. more

Today on this 2002 GMC Envoy we're going to be testing the 23x47 Carpod Walled Cargo Carrier for 2 inch hitches, part number M2205. Now what sets this apart from the other cargo carriers we have is that it has these nice, tall walls to hold in all cargo necessary that you don't want to keep inside to make more room for your passengers. Now, before we start anything else I would like to go ahead and give you some measurements to give you a better idea of how far this sticks out from the vehicle when it's attached. I'm going to go ahead and take these measurements from the bumper. It sticks out to about this end here to about 36 inches. Next, we're going to go ahead and give you the ground clearance from this point here, which that's at about 22 inches and finally we'll give you the closest distance to the bumper, which should be right about here, and that's about 6 1/2 inches. This has a nice grated bottom here, so it's very easy to clean and to fold this down and get it compacted is very easy. It has 4 pins in each corner. more

Today on our 2002 GMC Envoy, we're going to be test fitting the 48 by 21 Max Tow Cargo Carrier, part number MT70422. Let's go ahead and start off and give you a couple measurements to give an idea of how far the cargo carrier actually sticks out from the vehicle. I'm going to go ahead and measure from the bumper, it looks like it's going to be about 30 inches. Next we'll do the ground clearance, it's about 16 inches. Finally, we'll do the closest point to the bumper, which will be right here, that's going to be about 7 inches. Now with the Envoy, the exhaust comes out on the passenger side, but it does face down, so you won't really have to worry about any heat sensitive materials, and damaging them at all. With it in this position, with nothing loaded into it, we have no problem getting access to our cargo area, as you can see. more

Now the dimensions for the cargo carrier itself are 55 by 15 and a half inches. And it has a weight capacity of 220 pounds. Now with two bikes on that bike rack, that's adaptable for it, you can only carry 90 pounds of cargo on your cargo carrier. The part number for that is HR1485. This DryDock is great if you're wanting to carry canoes or kayaks on large SUVs or trucks. The first thing we're going to do is unstrap our kayak and take it off, then we'll show you some features of the DryDock. Great thing about this DryDock is that it does adjust back here. You can adjust the arms here to whatever height you need to. This bar up here at the top and our crossbar up there are not included, but you can find those on our website. more

Today on our 2011 GMC Acadia, we are going to be doing a test fit of the SportRack Vista Cargo Carrier. This cargo carrier is going to measure twenty inches wide by sixty inches long, have a two inch shank for your two inch hitches only, and its going to attach to our receiver using a three quarter inch anti-rattle bolt. Also it will have this nice expanded metal base for easy clean-ability and sturdy steel construction offering a five hundred pound weight capacity with this nice folding shank that will fold up and tuck away when you don't have it in use. Let's go ahead and get some measurements to start off. Our closest distance will be our first measurement and that's gonna be from that bracket there on the front side of the rack to the back side of the bumper. At about eight and seven eighths inches. Overall, this distance that we've added to the vehicle from the rear of the bumper to the back of the rack at about thirty seven and three quarter inches with a rear ground clearance of about twenty one and a half inches. more

Overall distance that we've added to the back of the vehicle from the back of the bumper to the back of the rack at about 28". more

Today on our 2011 GMC Acadia we're going to be doing a test fit of the Let's Go Aero Gear Cage. This Gear Cage is going to measure 32" wide by 48" long and it's going to have a sturdy 2" shank to automatically to our 2" receiver, as well as with its sturdy steel construction it's going to offer a 300 pound weight capacity. Now it will attach as well with a 7/8" anti-rattle bolt that will secure our load and make sure that there's little sway, rattle, and wobble. We'll show you that in a moment. Let's go ahead and start off by getting a few measurements. Our closest distance will be our first measurement from the backside of the bumper to the front side of the rack at about 5-1/2". Overall distance that we've added to the vehicle from the rear of the bumper to the back of the rack is going to be about 39-5/8", and our ground clearance from the bottom side of the shank is going to be about 15-3/4". more

Today on our 2015 GMC Canyon we're going to be doing a test fit of the SportRack Vista cargo carrier. This cargo carrier is going to be part number SR9851. It's going to be 20" wide, 60" long, and with its sturdy steel construction is going to offer a 500 pound weight capacity. As you can see, it's also going to have that nice folding shank here that will fold up and stow away against the vehicle real nice and sleek like. It's going to offer a 20" by 60" platform with that expanded metal base for easy cleanability, as well as a 2" shank for your 2" receivers attaching with an anti-rattle bolt at the base into your receiver. That anti-rattle bolt will be 3/4" in size and we'll show you how that all works. Starting off, we'll get a few measurements. Our closest distance will be our first measurement from the backside of the bumper to the front side of the rack at about 8". Overall distance that we've added to the vehicle from the rear of the bumper to the back of the rack at about 29-1/4", and our ground clearance will be about 17-1/4". more

It's also going to have that sturdy steel construction that's going to offer that 500 pound weight capacity. If you look here you're going to see that it's going to have a 2 inch shank as well that's going to attach to that 2 inch receiver or class 3 receiver that you may have. Today on our 2015 Chevrolet Traverse we're going to be taking a look and doing a test fit on the CURT 24 by 60 folding cargo carrier. They've designed this for use in 2" hitches and it's going to offer us a 500 pound weight capacity. The part number on it is C18153. Now we've loaded it down with a hundred pounds here to give you an idea of what it's going to look like going down the road with the load on it. As with any cargo carrier that's going to be secured to the vehicle with just a pin and clip, you're going to have some movement and you're going to have some wiggle. If you check out our website, we've got several different anti-rattle or hitch immobilizer products available that you can cure that with, but that will be up to you. We get the weight off here, we can take a look at the floor of the carrier. more

We'll go ahead and line our pin holes up, that looks like it's going to look pretty good. Then we'll take our pin and clip - this carrier doesn't come with a pin and clip but you can find it on our website at etrailer.com, part number PC3. Then we can take a couple measurements. Starting with our nearest point it looks like it's going to be from here to our bumper right about 4-1/2". Overall we've added about 14" to our vehicle. more
